A 3-mile plateau of bones, 500' high. It is glued together by bones melted by cave solutions. Its edges are marked by streaks of slimy blood-earth mudslides.

A stony 8x8 mile field, hemmed into an irregular hexagon shape by massive cavern walls. All over the field are small rocks that are 1 or 2 feet tall, and small dunes made of gravel.
There are two types of terrain here. The first is long 2-mile stretches only featuring pebbles. The second is natural "sparse walls" made of man-sized boulders, all close or far apart, with a herd of yak-types stomping about it. (1d4 yaks will be strong enough to roll-over any boulder here).
The yak field is entirely enclosed by cavern walls. In the south wall is a twisting, ascending tunnel (going to the fire-smoke cave). In the north wall, there is a mile-wide ramp, going downwards (to the field of slain hostages).
Every 2 miles there are areas with a possible mix of boulders and yak herd. Characters can scope out what is in an upcoming boulder-wall with an unmodified observation check. Or they can simply walk into one. Waiting too long in one spot will eventually "attract" one of the close-by herds.
There is a 1-in-6 chance that an upcoming yak-field landmark will have loot (determined randomly):
A 50x30 mile lake (6x4 hexes). Its water is contaminated with arsenic and fluoride. It is trawled by skiffs crewed by militant hedge wizards cursed into elephantine forms.
Most of the water is shallow, less than 5' deep. Waterlogged zombies infest the water.

The southwest of the sky jungle is the shore of the elephant sorcerer lake. The southeast has an entrance to the cubical Poison Maze (sulfur end).
A moss-covered flat meadow, full of corpses that are mostly unclothed humans. Many have had the majority of their parts eaten off. There is one fresh body within every forty feet. A few bodies are in green wool outfits. Most of the field is without cover and is wide-open. A few exceptions are some 5' burrows in the dirt, a couple stone pillars that hold up nothing, and some fallen-over hollow towers.
